Vayve Mobility to Unveil Eva: India’s First Solar-Powered Electric Car at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

New Delhi: Pune-based Vayve Mobility is set to make headlines with the unveiling of ‘Eva,’ India’s first solar-powered electric car, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The event, scheduled from January 17 to 22, 2025, will provide a platform for this groundbreaking vehicle, designed to redefine urban mobility in India.

Eva Specifications and Features

Eva, a compact two-seater electric car, promises a range of up to 250 km on a single charge. Its standout feature is the solar panel integrated into the roof, which can contribute an additional 10-12 km of range daily. Over a year, this translates to an impressive 3,000 km of solar-powered travel, depending on sunlight conditions.

The car is powered by a 14 kWh battery pack and a 6 kW liquid-cooled electric motor, enabling a top speed of 70 km/h. Eva accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just five seconds, making it ideal for city traffic. Charging is convenient, with an 80% charge achievable in 45 minutes using a DC fast charger, and a full charge in approximately four hours with a standard 15A socket.

The car boasts many modern amenities, including a panoramic sunroof, a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, and smart connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety is prioritized with a monocoque chassis and a driver’s airbag.

Eva Affordable and Accessible Pricing

Vayve Mobility is targeting affordability with Eva, aiming for a price range between ₹5 to ₹7 lakh. This pricing strategy positions Eva as a competitive option for Indian urban commuters seeking sustainable and cost-effective mobility solutions.

Eva Launch Timeline

Production is expected to commence following the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, with market availability anticipated later that year. Vayve Mobility’s commitment to sustainable innovation aligns with its goal to address the specific needs of urban commuters in India.

Catering to Indian Urban Needs

Eva is tailored for typical Indian urban commuting patterns, where daily travel distances are often under 35 km and car occupancy rarely exceeds 1.5 passengers. Its compact design and efficient performance make it a perfect fit for congested city environments. The addition of solar charging capabilities further enhances its appeal, reducing dependence on external charging infrastructure.

Vayve Mobility Vision for the Future

By introducing Eva, Vayve Mobility aims to revolutionize urban transportation in India. The solar-powered electric car symbolizes a significant step forward in sustainable mobility, addressing environmental concerns while meeting the practical needs of Indian commuters.
